I tested positive. No show Wednesday
Posted on
I tested positive on Saturday. I’ve been in isolation (My wife hasn’t gotten it thank goodness) and it’s not that bad, but it’s not that good either.
A few things:
1. Science said omicron would spread like wildfire. I’m witnessing this first hand. At least a dozen of my closest friends and colleagues have tested positive in a matter two/tree days. Those are just the ones I’ve heard about.
2. Science said if you’ve been vaxxed/boosted your experience won’t be so bad. I’m living proof as of now. (Emphasis on living)
3. I ain’t taking up no space in no hospital. (I know first hand cases of folks with other emergency issues that were not able to be taken in due to full beds full of covid sufferers)
4. If history is anything to listen to (ahem) you know if NYC is getting this now, the rest of the US will be soon. Prepare. (See #5 and order in-home tests now!)
5. Please make sure you’re vaccinated/boosted. It’s best for for you, everyone around you, and the state of the medical system. You think you’re tired of this crap? How do you think docs/nurses etc feel?
6. I miss tasting. I’m in isolation… I’m ok without smelling for the moment. Isolation doesn’t smell too good haha.
7. I will not be playing for your #wine, #cheese, and #oysters at Domaine Wine Bar this Wednesday from 8:30-11. If you’re up to it, go by there and say hello.
