Pre-War Ponies CD Release Party Sunday ?- Domaine Wednesday - Barbés Thursday

Posted on

Happy New Year 🙂

I am pleased to tell you that the official CD/LP release party for The Pre-War Ponies newest release, “Get Out Under The Moon” is this Sunday at the Slipper Room on the Lower East Side.  Note that the show is early in the evening (we start at 8pm) and on the Sunday of a 3 day weekend.  How’s THAT for planning? We’re going to have most all the featured guests from the record playing for you live.  This special performance of the material will only happen once. (Unless someone pays us handsomely, of course haha)

Daria Grace – Vocals, Baritone Ukulele
Yours truly – Trombone, Soprano Ukulele, Glockenspiel, Vocals
Tom Beckham – Vibraphone
Mike Neer – Guitar
Philippa Thompson – Violin, Singing Saw
Andrew Hall – Bass
Ian Riggs – Bass
Russ Meissner – Drums
Andrew Burns – Drums
Willie Martinez – Percussion

If you weren’t able to get a copy during our pre-order campaign (or even if you did) you’ll be able to pick up a CD or an LP at the show.  The record will be officially released (Bandcamp, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, B&N, Spotify, etc etc) on January 20th.

On Wednesday (yeah… tomorrow) I’ll be doing my first night of 2016 at Domaine Bar a Vins in LIC, leading a trio including Jesse Gelber on the piano and Jim Whitney on bass.  This is a mellow neighborhood hang that you can enjoy with wine, cheese and oysters.  The multitudes cry, “affirmative!”

Thursday, at Barbés in Park Slope, I’ll  be playing a Pre-CD-Prewar party with the Pre-War Ponies at our monthly residency at 10pm.

Alright.  That’s what I have for you this week.  All the nitty gritties for the above mentioned situations, plus a look at the month ahead, can be found by clicking the “gig schedule” link to the right.

Take care!
